But, man, those first six Sabbath albums. Finding Paranoid in a moment of absolute pre-autistic diagnosis, PTSD despair and hearing someone else articulate the fear, frustration and abject loneliness I was experiencing was unbelievably helpful. Rest in peace, Ozzy.

I dealt with a lot of ridiculous Satanic Panic stuff (once watched a crowd crucify, parade, stone and burn a Vanilla Ice shirt). For some reason they always used an unflattering photo of Ozzy at Live Aid where he just kind of looked like a drunk mom at a pizza parlor than the devil. Not appealing.

This is probably heresy, but I've never been wild about solo Ozzy. I was a punk, industrial and hip hop kid. I grew to love Sabbath later in life, but I associate his '80s stuff with getting jumped by trucks full of mullets. I get it, though. Appreciate the elements and impact of it.
