Up to you if you want to go with the authentic latin. Absolutely nothing wrong with aligning it with real life terms. But a twist on the name is just as valid. Cool name either way

In their raw, unshaped form, they are very rough, with many small irregularities that make fitting them inside a gun chassis difficult (and dangerous).
As for other things I mentioned in past posts, some of the raw products are demon bits. Organs, bones, eggs where applicableโฆ they all may yield3/5
Having it in one of the demon world islands (like the crystals that can become computer components) made the most sense. With them being native to the human realm equally making sense.
I am still struggling as to which world makes the most sense. But either way, the crystals grow under mountains2/5

For the energy conversion crystals I mentioned yesterday, I have gone through several potential ideas. For a while, they were a โSage Materialโ. (Something that was formed in the immediate area of someone essentially becoming a minor deity). But that would make it a finite resource.1/5

In addition to not reloading, one can increase (or decrease) the damage done.
So basically, common citizens (even many non-humans) use gunpowder while Hunters use the energy conversion ones. (Some overlap happens for magical persons who choose not to become Hunters, opting for civilian police roles
Gunpowder weapons never stopped being developed and evolved as well. (Since people with magic are the only ones that can fire a โHunter weaponโ, the common person needs a weapon to defend themselves with).
Hunters (the ones that choose to use guns) are generally safer and more effective with them.
(I say that about myself way to often lmao, I understood everything well enough).
I am hoping with the number of places that stop switching increases, there will eventually be a โdomino effectโ.
At this rate, it will be another 100 years to make a small change that will benefit everyoneโs circadian rhythmโฆ

Into weapons. They must be both shaped and tuned. This is usually done by trained gunsmiths, although others can learn and be a part of the process.
One character (so far) in the story made her weapon from scratch. Including the shaping and tuning of the crystal. Typically it takes several 3/4

For this #Marchistics post, I should probably focus on something a little more specific. (What whiplash from my previous post!). Probably shouldโve been more specific to start with lol
