Though, whenever I feel that instinctual and territorial urge, I fight against it because I know it is dumb to feel that way for someone that I have no real claim for.

I acknowledge it, but I don’t let it fester.

As a man myself, I feel I can read that kind of behavior like a fucking book. Plus, I’ve seen that same pattern so many times in the past.

And I know I’ve felt that way before whenever I see other men gifting to get attention from the women in my life that I’m close with and have feelings for.

Acting like a fuckboi on main is one way.

Random jokes like, “Oh look! It’s my #1 fan!” in my chat is another. Like, bud, who are you?

Then acting jealous and trying to 1-up a genuine gift AFTER you had already gifted a decent amount. Like you had to overcompensate, desperately.

And they wonder why I had them blocked for so long. My first impression of their behavior reminds me of old toxic people. All it takes is one small red flag and you are blocked everywhere.

And the way they act after the block only enforces my belief that the block was justified.

Always so funny to see other dudes that have issues with me feel threatened by me when I send my female friends gifts in public. As if then needed to “1up” my generosity to say, “Oh, I care about you too!” Meanwhile, I just wanted to show my love to my friends.

Oh no. Another negatively charged post that most people don’t want to see.

Well too bad! I’m human and you’re gonna have to get use to seeing me express myself just like anyone else!

Even a man has a right to express his depression or frustrations.

But I’m fine now. I learned to pull myself out of the abyss and become my own rock.

This wasn’t aimed at you. I figured you had been going through stuff because you had been silent for a while.

This is aimed at people that I use to be close with that have been quite active on Twitter everyday as if they don’t have a care in the world and had plenty of chances to check on me.
