In related news, the soonest I can get an MRI on my foot is in a MONTH. Cool, since my doctor is worried it's a stress fracture.🫠

Me in January: "I'm re-committing to a healthier lifestyle! I'm going to get back into dance and develop an exercise regimen so I can strengthen up my muscles!"

My body: "Cool! Remember that random, totally unserious injury from 2 years ago? I'm going to make that a problem."

Years in corporate America have taught me that every "cost-saving measure" ends up being a financial disaster. Trying to replace humans with AI to "save money" is just more corporate nonsense that's gonna destroy their budget.

People love to come at me when I point out how terrible AI voices sound, but.... They're just so bad. Even the clones of specific actors still have the Uncanny Valley effect going on. Save time and money and just pay actors what they're worth. I promise you'll spend less in the long run.

It's really easy to be skeptical since there are so many less-than-savory rackets running around. But there are truly good humans out there like June. People who find happiness through lifting others up, through helping others succeed. Lighting the candles of others makes the whole room brighter.

I haven't gone to Convergence in several years (the con is great, just personal stuff), but I'm thinking about it this year for this reason!

A friendly reminder that in these times of performative cruelty, being kind is an act of resistance. Loving yourself, treating people like fellow humans, and cheering others on are all great ways to protest the dehumanizing rhetoric coming from the wannabe dictators.

It's a weird sort of loneliness, being surrounded by people, but feeling alone. Being asked for an opinion, then spoken over. Gushing about something I love to be met with complete silence. Such is the nature of existence.

The FBI arrested a sitting Milwaukee county judge for "helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest" or that's what they're saying. Because "they believe" she told them the wrong place to go on purpose. Uh huh.

Sigh. Having one of those days where the choice paralysis is very strong. Do I follow path A? Path B? Abandon all hope and try to escape and develop a path C? Ugh.

Civilized societies treat ALL of their members with respect INCLUDING those with profound disabilities. So stop with this demonization of autism and restore research funding to help families find ways to help their loved ones.
