I always used to say kitty corner in the state to Seattle. Seattle is NW I was born in the SE.

My grandma kept a fancy butter dish on her kitchen table and I used it until I was 12 when she saw me taking some for toast and told me "that's the cat's butter. don't eat the cat's butter." then she pulled a different butter dish I'd never seen before out of the fridge.
