28.02.2026 21:56 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0the problem IIRC is that it takes about a week to do a caution lap of the full circuit and even NASCAR thinks overtime should end _eventually_.

28.02.2026 12:48 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Car that's pitted for slicks has a primary sponsor called WAT which is probably the roughly correct reaction given how often this strat actually works.

28.02.2026 12:06 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0obviously this is a joke but probably the only reason Formula E haven't actually done this is because they don't have pit stops you change wheels at. (Or do anything else in, until last year).
27.02.2026 17:15 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This but IRL. When the car comes in a series of button commands are displayed on the driver's steering wheel which they have to input so that a light comes on and the crew are allowed to do each stage of a pit stop.

One of those where the line on Cricinfo is a pretty good summary.

This feels like a really weird logo for a composites manufacturer to have since it appears to show a composite fracturing due to fibre pull-out under stress.
Yeah I know it nominally says ENVE but still.
I mean that's just good advice anyway. And while I think Zak Brown's on the less trustworthy end as motorsport CEOs go, in this particular case I think the vast majority of them would have done what he did.
27.02.2026 14:53 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I agree that's what they did, but I don't think it was on purpose -I do think that when they were originally negotiating McLaren were seriously considering sending Palou or O'Ward to F1 when Ricciardo's contract expired, but then Piastri unexpectedly became available and they pounced.
