A few record shots of the Arctic Warbler seen in the Parsonage on St Agnes, Isles of Scilly today. Initially assumed to be the Greenish Warbler seen earlier down Barnaby Lane this bird was obviously larger, duller and more lethargic than Greenish with Bill length etc confirming ID. #SCILLY

No sign of the Mourning Dove today, on St Agnes, Isles of scilly with just 1 sighting from a single observer all day. On a brighter note a Red Breasted Flycatcher appeared this morning in the Parsonage, later managed to get this photo of it down Barnaby Lane.

A Great start to our holiday on St Agnes, Isles of scilly, having superb views the Spotted Sandpiper, Hoopoe, Richard's Pipit & Purple Sandpiper. At one point the Hoopoe & Purple Sandpiper we're feeding within about 10m of each other on Periglis beach.

Has anyone got any ideas as to what this is, the head reminds me of a Bee (mining Bee sp'.), I'm thinking that it maybe has the look of something thats recently emerged and drying off. Found early morning on a grass stem in my garden.

Had a stunning morning for our annual Dawn Chorus bird walk at the Marston Vale Country Park, Bedfordshire, with a decent selection of bird's heard & seen, highlights include Ruff, Cuckoo & Marsh Harrier. Had a nice bonus after the walk finding a Red Veined Darter on the edge of Stewartby lake.

They're just one of those birds, my bro has found a couple which turned up in his back garden, but I always seem to have managed to avoid them until today.

At long last I've managed to find Black Redstarts in Bedfordshire with 2 appearing this evening on Brogborough hill, while I was out walking the dogs, went back over with the camera and spent some quality time with both of them in the fading evening sunshine.
