Sunday 10th August 1947 Blustery and squally all day. Immediately after lunch to Karori for tea and supper - usual good Bridge and I won 2/6 got taxi back to hotel. In morning prepared two talks for H.P.C.

The number of baby boomers aged 50 to 66 who are out of work and claiming benefits has increased by 600,000 - or 43 per cent - to 1.99m, from 1.4m just before the Covid lockdown in March 2020.

That is true, but the lead singer rule means they’re from Aberdeen. In the same way that 80’s Marillion are from Edinburgh and not Aylesbury.

Whenever I’ve stayed in the city centre I’ve set aside a late evening where I pour a large drink, put A Walk Across Rooftops in the headphones and look out of the window and watch Glasgow in the small hours. The best thing.
