It's a normal thing that happens all the time. My advice is keep making what you are making. Yours may not reach the same audience or success, but it will be a different game, and it is an important step in becoming a solo developer.

Day 5:
I added fonts for buttons and readable text, also a box for the focused buttons. Bars for health and suit. The ambience changes color when you change mode. The state machine is fixed, but the one-shot animations are still missing.

Day 4:
I bind all the keys in the new game screen that now takes you to the main game. The inventory is working now; you can pick, drop, and change objects. The state machine it's bugged, I will fix it tomorrow and add more animations.

Day 3:
I fixed the navigation of the buttons in the main menu and in the pause screen. I baked the lighting and created a raycast that will place the fake shadow at the ground distance. The state machine continues to become more advanced.

Day 2:
I wanted to publish a video, but I made a mistake recording. Anyway, I kept building the State Machine, now I have the animations for each state, I also created the item functions for the inventory. I gonna use Sprite3D for shadows.

Today I made de Loading and Credits scene, I loaded some of my old scripts (like state machine and settings) of Prisoner 78 and adapted them, I also created a trigger to move the camera since #PSX classic didnโ€™t used joysticks.
