If actually think the challenging American housing market is in any way comparable with the Dutch structural housing crisis, it sounds like you indeed have lots about the Netherlands to learn (vs. just being an American tourist there.)

A friend studying at @uarizona.bsky.social was on the receiving end of an attempted, random vehicular assault tonight. The attacker followed him into a restaurant, insulting him with anti-Asian rhetoric.
Looks like UofA, though, took down their "diversity" website with info for harassment victims.
I remember visiting a friend at NASA in the 1990s, who wrote software for Mars rovers. I asked him if I could make a call on his desk phone.
He declined, explaining it was taxpayer funded. He handed me a quarter (of his own money), and pointed me to the hallway payphone.
