From a club standpoint, it’s a win-win. The real loser, still, is the local matchgoing fan.

Before the season I ran some Monte Carlo analysis to predict how many goals Ollie Watkins would score.

This predicted a 92% chance he would have scored at least 1 goal by gameweek 5, and a 71% chance he would have scored 2.

I just read a research paper (I'm a nerd, I know) that suggests that managers averaging 0.74 ppg after 8 games are unlikely to turn things around.

So I guess I jumped the gun
