Brotherwise is also hoping to expand Plotweaver, the ruleset underlying the Cosmere TTRPG, to other settings so creators can use it to make and monetize their own content. Details are limited, but more will be revealed in 2026.

What's next after Mistborn? @brotherwisegames.bsky.social 's Johnny O'Neal doesn't say, although the three settings of Elantris, Worldhopper and Warbreaker are on the table. Only Sanderson can say which one will get focus next. More details about this to release in the second half of 2026

I'm not super familiar with Mistborn as a setting, but hopefully, fans can tell me if it's a big deal or not.
There will be the Mistborn Handbook, which is bigger than Stormlight (400+ pages)
Mistborn World Guide will offer details on the world (like the Stormlight version). Dives into a lot of the lore.
Mistborn Legacy, an adventure from levels 1-6 across two eras, also will feature content from 3-9.
Lot of details about what will be included in the Mistborn setting, from character options to Mistborn-specific character trees and lore.
Honestly, Mistborn already seems to fit more an aesthetic I like.
First off, the Stormlight version of the game is officially in stores, including Barnes and Noble. That's a big deal cuz it means the game will be in front of a lot more eyes than just FLGSes.
Mistborn books are scheduled to release in Sept. 2026.

I think what breaks my brain the most about this is that Disney's leadership spent SO MUCH TIME trying to maintain control of their IP's aesthetic and vibes in film, theme parks and more to the point of limiting artistic creativity. This policy decision throws ALL OF THAT right out the window.
