This was such a beautiful, aching read--an elegy for irrecoverable lives and unfixable mistakes, but also a story about learning to share the weight of each other's pain. So many gorgeous details of place and sense; sand and Chapstick and conchas, whale fins skimming through the solar winds.

I always go to cons with my guts tangled with serpents bc of my social anxiety, self image, etc. Im always so amazed at the kindness and the genuine friendships I find with the ppl of my spec fic community. I left Seattle World Con so full of love.
