He turned and looked up at him. “But he’d be proud of you. Yer doin’ the right thing by him.”

He reached into jacket pocket and lit a cigar, handing it to Cain. “Earned this.”

He popped all his bones back into place. “First gotta find where they came from.”

Logan sat up, rolling his shoulder to pop it back into place. “G’na find out.”

“I’ll never say no to a beer.”

Logan groaned and struggled up, holding his stomach. “Which bar?”

“B’lieve me. These weren’t fuckin around.”

He placed his hand over his chest, then fished out another bullet. “Gimme a few more minutes. ‘Ll be alright.”
