It was 100% peaceful even if one agitator did show up with a pistol on his hip. There was zero police presence (this literally went down straight across the street from me) to help de-escalate and protect protesters. He peacefully disengaged and left.

Mind you, it was the thick of the #bookban push in various states, including my own: Texas. It's important to remember, these women who fought for our rights did so at great cost to themselves. They weren't lauded or famous during their lifetimes for anything they put down using quill and parchment.

She would have been the first person to rewrite Pride & Prejudice to include our diverse world, and fight for the rights of those who are oppressed. So, I did it instead. I wanted to see #representation in one of the most influential classical literary pieces in the history of the written word.

Vanity Affair is an ode to all the things #JaneAusten stood for. She was a subvertive agent of challenging the status quo socially and poking fun at societies absurdities.

2023/2024 ended up being some of the hardest years of my life. I was surrounded by pain, death, exhaustion (emotionally, mentally, and physically), but I tapped into that reserve to #write something I'm very proud of.

It showed me that through great tragedy can come the most beautiful rainbows. It taught me how to #hope when all hope seemed snuffed out.

My grandmother introduced me to the works of Jane Austen, Brontë sisters, Mary Louise Alcott, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Harper Lee, and the list goes on. My love of #books, particularly these female authors, helped guide me on what being a strong heroine in my own life story meant.

January of 2024 I released Vanity Affair to the world. Ever since I was a young girl I've found myself going against the grain and questioning everything. I'm a fighter and #survivor of childhood abuse and a very broken childhood.

Most of the border is done on a new 1000 piece puzzle with puzzles pieces scatter about the wooden gaming table

Let me preface this with:

Unmedicated ADHD me HATED puzzles. They frustrated me, and I couldn’t sit still long enough to make any form of progress. I hadn't attempted a puzzle since my teens until the quiet room at Gen Con.

Medicated me learned that I do enjoy puzzles!
