London born, long term resident in Italy. Was an architect, once, but not in the way you'd think! Serious interests are many, and often political. Silly interests are cats, The Archers, and Formula 1.

The car looks pretty new in the photo (very shiny hub caps!) so it should be quite easy to date fairly accurately.

I do think that 'preventing' Andy Burnham from standing grated with many potential Labour voters (and activists), resulting in a flight from Labour in the by-election contributing significantly to their demise.

The Capture Don't believe what you see. In the terrifying world of deepfake technology, just who is pulling the strings? Conspiracy thriller starring Holliday Grainger and Paapa Essiedu.

Ah - ahead of a second series starting on March 8 - the BBCiplayer has made available Series One of #TheCapture. Worth a watch, (it is hard to believe that the series is more than six years old).

I'm punting on the scriptwriters turning Finlay into a Romance Fraudster - we don't know that he owns a croft, or that those sheep are his, maybe he just hangs around that Scottish castle waiting for prey! #TheArchers

On the too famous front, surely Finlay could just Zoom in? #TheArchers

Hannah the new MP just lost my vote when she said "Sorry to all my clients waiting for my plumbing, I've got other things to do now" 🙂

I think the eta of the result is around 03.00 - 04.00 British time.

I would have put money on the Greens (though the odds would not have been particularly tempting I think). Purely a gut feeling based on a 'curse you all' philosophy; Labour want to shaft Reform (understandable) but have ignored the main opponent and just look like cynical gameplayers.

It is most peculiar (to me) the assumed importance of Christianity in any body politic. It does seem to be a particularly US obsession which the right wing believes consumes all 'predominantly WASP' countries.

If you can lay your hands on a book by Ben Elton, entitled High Society, you could well be convinced that legalising drug use is inevitable. (The book has many parallels with the Epstein files).

I will certainly let Helen know that it is "too cold for Starlink"!
If I was still on Twitter I'd complain to Musk about this shortcoming, just so he could get abusive with me 😉

Wow. Last I heard was that Stansted was being looked into, and I immediately thought 'that's a bit downmarket, innit'?

I think the cellphone coverage was flaky, but that doesn't mean the croft hasn't got internet, there will be a landline, or maybe he has Starlink? (Finlay might be a spook, that'd be a nice storyline!)

If I recall correctly (which would be a rare occurrence!) the sale of Miranda's house fell through, which meant that she held off buying Home Farm. This was some months ago, and there has been no news since.

I'm a bit pissed off with 'The Rest is Politics' podcast. They have evaded every Mandelson story, and every Andrew story.
Seems a bit bunker mentality.

I agree that it is not a local authority issue, but considering the fairly minimal costs to developers of mandating better insulation standards I see no reason for this not being national, through building regulation.

The Guardian article is as superficial as most. Mandating higher insulation standards is not significantly expensive for developers. Mandating heat-pumps (in their infancy) is not so bright.

Interesting - how aligned this early Kandinsky is with the Secessionists. Never seen this image before.

I got completly the wrong end of the stick, assuming that Geri and Horner were objecting to a low end pre-fab pizza oven being built by a impecunious neighbour.
These over rich folk can afford something much more stylish.

Oooh ta. I do like a Page 94 podcast, this one should be fun, I anticipate much use of 'allegedly'.
