Great effort. Impressive. Stayed the course.

Charity shop CDs and records. Dogs, Spurs, telly and ill informed opinions. If you're looking for intelligence and original thought, look elsewhere. Oh, I like jazz. https://www.youtube.com/@shaunmcconnell846
Great effort. Impressive. Stayed the course.
31.12.2025 17:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yesterday morning's scene. I didn't take the picture. The heart of the Preseli Hills.
22.11.2025 02:21 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Slow, predictable, bereft of ideas and creativity. That was awful, only Vicario comes out of that with any credit.
Terrible. Chelsea weren't that good, they didn't have to be, they were playing against the petrified.
Richarlison is awful, Simons is looking lightweight and very expensive.
An Allen or Lineker is a must right now.
28.10.2025 11:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Allen and Lineker era Tottenham shirts. These were in my parents' loft. I'd completely forgotten about the Hummel kit. #COYS
28.10.2025 04:59 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Unlistenable, exactly. When I bought it the chap in the record shop said it didn't sound great, in terms of audio quality.
Listened on YouTube, sounded exactly the same. Bad. Sold it.
It's on the anthology, it got lost in the cacophony of Starsailor. I'm glad I bought it, it was mint and in the ยฃ1 bin of the record shop. I know. They'd obviously heard it.
21.07.2025 04:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I looked it up after I bought it and funk was mentioned. I thought, yeah, right. They were right.
I was familiar with a bit of his work, but was so horrified by Starsailor I sold it.
Economically, a great buy, but an awful noise.
I found an anthology in the same shop.
After finding Starsailor in the record shop for a pound and thinking it was one of the most self indulgent, confused and deeply unpleasant things I've heard I wasn't expecting much from this.
Equal parts Stones, Santana, Curtis Mayfield and a whole lot more.
Absolutely magnificent.
Eric B. & Rakim #DJ
17.07.2025 05:31 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I hadn't heard of her, but figured she had been donated by the same person. The other album at the top falls into the same category. A punt. Someone Bachman, I think.
16.07.2025 17:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'll remember the recommendation.
16.07.2025 16:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I only had a CDR of Two Sevens until this. It's brilliant.
16.07.2025 16:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The same lingering CDs for months, then these. You've probably heard this โฌ๏ธ, I actually thought of you while I've been playing it. NOT IN AN ODD WAY!
A great album, I went back to the same place today to see if there was a copy of Two Sevens Clash. There obviously wasn't. This is top drawer.
Another charity shop trip, trays and shelves I've checked for weeks and months. No change until today, the first photo is the best lot I've come across in a good while. I wasn't going to look, it seemed pointless, and I was aware that I'm a frequent rummager. Not today. ยฃ3 Second photo, 10p each.
16.07.2025 13:25 โ ๐ 13 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Car boot find was Prince, that was a pound, the rest are from many charity shop trips, Brubeck 25p, everything else was 10p.
Sonic Youth is an unofficial release,
It's very good.
The pick of recent charity shop/record shop/FBMP buys.
Vinyl a pound, CDs 10p.
Davis and Coltrane was a FBMP buy.
Listed for a fiver, I asked about postage and was roundly ignored.
I brought out the big guns and offered eight whole pounds. Again, expecting to be ignored.
A surprising success.
Thank you. The last one was XL. XL boys. Damn.
13.05.2025 14:38 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Spurs will have to be relegation candidates more often, the second shirt I've found in the past week or so. This fits.Three quid. It's a keeper. #COYS
13.05.2025 14:00 โ ๐ 11 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Ten for a pound, I've not gone mad.
12.05.2025 12:31 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The pick of the three for a pound. I'd have paid a pound for Jethro Tull. It will accompany the queer Russian bootleg I bought from a chap in Haverfordwest.
12.05.2025 12:30 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Nice car, and less than half the price of the crooked heap I bought.
11.05.2025 14:59 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Jazzonomics may be dead/resting. I'm having a break from it due to a torrid time sorting out an awful car. It's been sorted for months now, but Jesus, it was a battle with the garage. Shockers.
They took it back and I took a punt on a FBMP job.
The Pensioner's Favourite. Honda Jazz. ยฃ1300. Great.
Proper prices. Excellent.
11.05.2025 12:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Two glaring omissions from the shelves have been rectified. Abbey Road arrived in a brown envelope, the case was knackered. Do I change the case and say nothing, or complain? What do you think? Bill Withers sent free of charge. Great customer service.
I Can't Write Left-Handed is a masterpiece.
A great find for ยฃ2. Ideal for fans of Spurs and Alan. XL boys. Neil's lad is getting it, he needs to suffer. He's not called Dan. #COYS #Accidentalpartridge
06.05.2025 17:09 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The record shop was having a clear out, most of it was in poor condition, these two are near perfect, and nothing a bit of glue couldn't fix on Bellson. The record shop had dropped off in the charity shop. Records 50p, CDs 10p.
The classical box is the pick. Nice bits of Pablo and Prestige.

I saw this when it went out, I can't tell you how many times I've watched this, it probably puts me in line for a PIP.
05.05.2025 05:33 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sounds very good. I'm sure they're the unofficial versions doing the rounds on eBay for over ยฃ20.
