Today's item. 2007 Upper Deck Sweet Spot Classic Signatures Black Barrel Gold Ink #SPS-FM. This 1/1 from 2007 Sweet Spot Classic Signatures has a gold ink signature on a black bat barrel. The 1/1 indicator is centered on the front along the bottom. Really nice looking card.

This was accomplished. I was able to find 5 of them this year.

4. Find 1 Beckett Sample I need.

This was accomplished. Was able to find one new Beckett Sample and a gold one at that. 2003 Donruss Diamond Kings.

This was accomplished. I was able to knock off 3 cards from my Top 10 Wantlist.

2. Find 1997 Bryan Braves. Last regional issue I need and #1 on top 10 list.

Did not find either the standard or perforated Bryan Braves this year. Needless to say they will be number 1 again next year.

Here is a recap of the 2024 McGriff Collector goals.

1. Reach 3650 unique items.

With the collection purchase in February as well as all of the new cards in 2024 I was able to easily surpass & finish at 4184

A couple of the highlights this year were the partial collection that netted 280 new items as well as the trip to Tampa for his induction to the Rays Hall of Fame. On the Tampa trip I was able to get into the high school to see some of his memorabilia.

2024 was another strong year for the McGriff collection. I will finish the year with 4184 unique items after adding 654 new unique items. Total items now stands at 52,282 adding 3000 total items.

Fred McGriff walked and then was forced at second by Manrique after a ground out to 1st by Pat Borders. Manrique would have a tough game though with 2 errors in a row in the 6th inning that both led to runs in a 2-1 Blue Jays win on August 7, 1989.

Today's item. 2020 Topps Triple Threads Autograph Relics Wood #TTAR-FM1. The wood parallel is a 1/1 with wood like texture. The card is auto’d with bat & jersey relics that spells Walk Off. Card highlights McGriff as 1 of 3 players to hit 5 walkoff HRs with their team trailing.

Today's item. 1990 Venezuela Grandes Ligas Sticker #298. Produced in Venezuela, this set has the 1990 Topps base design with the sticker number in a white circle in the upper right corner. Stickers have no adhesive and were intended to be pasted into a sticker album.

Today's item. 1992 Panini Sticker #232. 1992 Panini Stickers are approximately 2 1/8" by 3" in size and are designed to be placed in a sticker album. The front has a color action photo. The sticker back has a game card play.. There is also a Canadian version with in French.

Today's item. 1998 Topps Stars Silver #104
The silver parallel from Topps Stars Is serial #’d to 4399. The front has player name & Topps Stars logo in silver foil with a futuristic background. Back has star ratings for various attributes with the serial on the back bottom

Today's item. 2023 Hall of Fame Plaque Postcard Cancelled. This is a McGriff Hall of Fame Plaque Postcard that I purchased at the Hall of Fame gift shop. On Monday after the induction I purchased a Yogi Berra forever stamp and got the postcard cancelled with the induction date.

They definitely did not make those easy to see that’s for sure.

Today's item. 2002 Topps Limited #385. Topps Limited Edition were only available in factory sets with 1950 sets created. These cards have Limited Edition in the bottom right front corner & are glossy like Tiffany cards from the 80s. This would be the final year of Limited Edition

Today's item. 2005 Donruss Diamond Kings Materials Bronze Black And White #223. Serial numbered to 100, this parallel has a black & white image, bronze foil Diamond Kings logo and both jersey and bat relics. The serial number is centered on the back below the card number.

This is my favorite McGriff item. I honestly never thought I would see one. I didn’t see my first until 2017. Only saw one more after that until he got his HOF call when they became a little more plentiful. They are blurry, miscut, off-center and glorious at the same time.

A sticker book was also available where the stickers could be glued in the book. The book was organized by Winter League team.

The stickers packs were small paper packs that contained 5 stickers.

Today's item. 1985 Dominican League Stickers #149. These stickers were sold in packs of 5 at Dominican Winter League games during the 1984-85 season. Stickers measure 1 15/16" x 2 3/4". McGriff played for Azucareros Del Este and this is his first individual issued item.

Today's item. 1998 Donruss Signature Showstamp Wizard World 2001 #59. Collectors who attended the 2001 Wizard World Convention in Chicago could get cards at the Donruss/Leaf booth with a show logo gold foil stamp. This was popular with Donruss/Leaf in the late 90s/early 00s

Today's item. 1994 Topps Finest Refractor #224. Refractors are a full set parallel that is inserted 1 every 9 packs. This was the 2nd year of Finest refractors. The rainbow shine can be tough to see on these and there is nothing else on the cards to indicate refractor.

Today's item. 2024 Topps Museum Collection Single Primary Pieces Quad Relics #SPPQ-FM. The base Primary Pieces Relics is serial numbered to 99 and has 3 small jersey relics and 1 slightly larger bat relic. The serial number is on the front in the bottom left corner.
