Took some crazy grinding, but I just hit a new peak! Had to learn some new stuff and venture out of my comfort zone with some new Striker suits, and it hella paid off in the end. As a nice bonus, I also managed to get back and a lot further into the top 500. Game is still insanely fun! 😇

Got back in Champion and Top 500, this time in the full Mecha BREAK game and not just a beta. This game is so fun; I'm having an amazing time. Even the losses are honestly fun!😁

Galleon is hella fun, and she feels like she has a lot of sauce. This was the most GBVS Rising that I've played in a long time. I don't usually go after grappler-types, but this one's doing so many other things that it seems like a very refreshing take on the archetype. Maybe I'll grind GBVSR more.

It's always a great pleasure to chill, eat out, and play games with local buddies and out-of-region homies that I don't get to see regularly and to meet new faces that I've only talked to online until now. Shout-outs to all of you. I'm looking forward to running it back at Combo Breaker next year!

For Mystery, overall this might have been my worst major in those events, but that's just how mystery games go sometimes. Regardless, it's always fun to team with Poco and then hang out after the tournament. I will try to see if I can actually participate in some of the online mystery weeklies.

As for myself, I somewhat recently made a switch from Catherine to Kudlak (not permanent, just fancied learning the char), and I'm pretty happy that I was actually able to get my best performance going solo Kudlak.

Just a couple years ago, a couple friends and I started a little fledgling scene for Chaos Code in NorCal and it's awesome to see us doing more and more damage at majors as time goes on.

For Chaos Code, this was definitely my best performance in that game at a major ever. I beat Franzen who had knocked me into losers last year, and in losers I barely lost to LosetonChurchill on game 3 to miss out on the top 4 spot. Still, it was cool to see NuklearPapaya rep us in there.

Both of my losses were close game 3 sets to @cadedac.bsky.social (who got 2nd at the whole thing, congrats!) and @espadapete.bsky.social. Naturally the loss to Pete was bittersweet, but I was honestly proud that his first win on me was at a major, and it felt nice to see a friend carry on the torch.

Combo Breaker 2025 reflection:

Mystery - 257th (went 2-2)

Avoided breaking my streak of making it out of Xrd pools. Didn't get further than that, but I haven't been playing Xrd much so I can't be too disappointed with that.
