There were a few puzzled looks at the ceremony in Doncaster. We have a woodlands burial site, which is β€˜different’ here in Cheshire, in Eastham Ferry & now run by the CooP, but it was a long story because my lad had a trip around it on a Harley Davidson hearse, the wife didn’t believe us.

My lad lived in Oak Park for a few years, so we know it well. There is a small bit of Frank Lloyd Wright here where we live on the N.Wales/English border. He was friendly with an architect in Colwyn Bay and visited & advised on a housing estate there, which was in turn copied into Neston.

Thomas Checkley (2016): The funeral was held for Thomas Checkley, a Buxton man who died in Vietnam serving with the Australian army. His reburial in Buxton was attended by family and members of various military organizations, including the Royal British Legion and the Australian defense force.

We can claim one manslaughter, one on death row in the USA but reprieved, and two hung for coinage at York from Mashamdale.

An Aldi story. Nestle UK wouldn’t sell KitKats to Aldi, so Aldi tried making their own, failed, very hard, so they started importing them from Aldi Germany and selling them in the UK. But, German chocolate tastes different to UK chocolate, so the UK shoppers complained to Nestle UK - Aldi smiled !

Have you ever read a book, dating from WW2, titled β€œThe British Way and Purpose”. It’s an eye opener, restricted circulation to Officers, and explains their place in the world.

We saved the table and fitted a piece of chipboard when the car went back. It also had a full size spare wheel dimple underneath it, most useful. The mk1 had a boot wash shower in the rear door. The mk2 also had the little flip up cocktails table between the front seats.

I’ve mapped out on Google Earth the Alwen, Elan Valley, Vyrnwy & Eigau schemes, they are all daring & magnificent, we have a lot to thank our ancestors for. I’ll have to map this scheme out now, the route will be on old OS maps.

Angram - I meant Gouthwaite. I went to a workshop last week about Alwen & Brennig in NW. Alwen is pipelined to Birkenhead with Brennig as compensation, other local water companies insisted on compensation of 33%, usually around 20%. It’s gravity fed with 4 balancing tanks.
