Watched Louis Theroux’s manosphere. Probably says a lot about my exposure to online misogyny/inceldom that I found it relatively tame. The ‘influencers’ were so ridiculously threatened by women that they needed to control/exploit them. As Greta Thunberg famously put it, lotta “small dick energy…”

Winston Churchill contributed significantly to the current destabilisation of Anglo-Iranian relations. Tone deaf entirely in the current geopolitical climate to laud him as a hero.

I’m unsurprised entirely though. Fits the Make Britain Great Again Narrative 🤦🏻‍♀️

It all plays back into Putin’s hands.

Trump is little more than his puppet; whether directly or indirectly.

Putin’s outmanoeuvred the US at every step. Whatever you think of the man and his regime. They’ve got it all sewn up.

Acts of a clever, power hungry, ruthless tyrant: Heinous not genius.

Wonderful to read about Balthazar.

Thanks for sharing some good news to punctuate the doom scrolling!

I don’t want to think this could be true. But it checks out given every other egregious harm inflicted on innocent, vulnerable children. They’re being attacked home and abroad. Why home you ask? Well, they can’t vote right, so why not eh? As long as they can be prevented from getting vaccinated?

Capitalism needs wars. It really doesn’t need to feed or care for the vulnerable.

The sooner people voting for any shade of zealot realise this: the better.

Violence is never the answer.

Thank goodness we sided with Spain on this one. Would do many of the Trump sycophants good to see how quickly he unleashes his rage when he doesn’t get what he wants: and then insists he can do it anyway.

I couldn’t possibly comment, however, the reports of $500+ million being traded on the dates of the strikes by anonymous accounts, one of which has MAGA in the name, might indicate some nefarious dealings for significant financial gain.

Making reflexivity central to my teaching practice has enriched my experience, and I hope, that if my students. With this paper, I can now explain to them more succinctly why it matters for their education.

It’s a special sort of evil person that bets on bombs falling.

And a special sort of evil administration which permits profiteering from acts of War.

Let’s face it; that administration is probably where the bets originated…

Stop the World, I want to get off.

This. I took a biro to my Father’s Daily Express the other day to correct its anti immigration headline story.

As more of our communication world comes under right wing ownership, we surely need to have sensible editorial controls.

Robert F Kennedy Jr: 1 year of failure In his first speech as Secretary of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Robert F Kennedy Jr laid out a plan to restore trust. The COVID-19 pandemic saw public faith in Federal health...

“The destruction that Kennedy has wrought in 1 year might take generations to repair, and there is little hope for US health, or science, while he remains at the helm.”

The Lancet telling it like it is since an anti-science, anti-vaxxer was appointed.

Our new normal seems to be Green vs Reform and I’m here for it 💚

Pulling a Trump “they stole the election” really isn’t a good look.

Reform’s policies attack their working class base. All it took was a dedicated local campaign pointing that out to the voters and signalling that the Greens were in fact a better fit for those voters.

Well done to Hannah Spencer.

I have a plan for the UK going forward: let’s just not give jobs to people purely on account of the family into which they were born.

Sound reasonable?

Let’s also remember that, by mass, only 2% of all land mammals are wild.

Change is inevitable. And it is critical for the survival of wildlife.

Them’s the facts folks.

We are not currently adequately feeding the global population, partly because we’re feeding unnecessary livestock.

Survey invitation for autistic adults

Are you, or do you know an autistic adult who might be able to help us by completing this survey?

It’s the final study for my lovely PhD student Sarah.

Many thanks in advance

Reform voters ‘not realising’ is the bread and butter of the party. Much like Trump et al, they rely on wilful ignorance. Their policies will harm working people and hit the poorest hardest. Yet, many of them see Farage as a saviour.

Oddly, those penalised by a system can often tend to justify it.

I DID!! She skewered him. As Richard O’Brien once said: “it’s just a step to the right.”

And top of the day to you too good Sir.
