Yeah my reaction to what you're describing has always been that it's the outfielder's fault for not calling off the infielder.

ie the infielder attempting the catch is an indication that the outfielder didn't have the range to get there.

Was the first time I took my kids to a card shop too. The products available to them have increasing disappeared though. Some is Fanatics's fault but the rot started earlier as all the for-kids products either got dumped or too expensive.

Confirmed with an LCS a couple weeks ago that nothing was going on this year. A shame since my kids loved it. But also not a surprise since they never timed it to coincide with any kid-focused products.

No.

The story is the disappearance of well-paying public service jobs. The article mentions as an afterthought that programming jobs are disappearing in government too. But I doubt it's for the same reason as at Google.
