I recommend creating a special game trailers for your trade shows. BUT, instead of VFX or music, it’s your voice pitching the game. Shoot for 3 to 5 minutes. They’re easy to share after the show and ensure no details about your creation are left out!
Also easy for #gamescouts to share internally

I'm having people play my demo's on a #Steamdeck when possible. Setup time is negligible 😁 It's perfect to have people try your game on the fly during impromptu meet-up.👍

#Game conferences have changed a lot with online meeting systems. Have you adapted your pitch?
Meeting slots are often 30 minutes.
-Allow 2–5 minutes for late arrivals or finding a spot.
-5–10 minutes banter to build rapport or catch up.
-Maybe 20 minutes to pitch, demo, answer questions?

My first piece of advice is to attend a major conference and make use of the online meeting tools available. You’ll find developer support teams from all major first parties attending.
What you want out of the meeting is feedback and advice. You're allowed to ask if they have a publisher to suggest!

Many devs pitch to publishers but skip Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Valve, and Epic. Start with them! Don't ask for money, just time to share YOUR game. Your future Publisher will meet them later, so pitching yourself ensures they hear the best version of your game directly from you.
