So, the purpose of the f2p game is to get people to spend more money over time than they would in a normal full priced game. Let's compare that to something like Street Fighter 6, which retaild at full price. To catch up to SF6, they'd need you to buy 4 costumes, right away, just to reach parity.

Yknow the old adage about MMOs would be to join up at Expansion 2, both because that's when the game would be the most smoothed out and developed, but also because that was when you could rely on it continuuing to exist.

It's crazy to see this functionally downgraded to a single year.

It's absolutely unbelievable that 2xko blew nearly a decade of work to release only to start downsizing their team 3 weeks into launch.

Runeterra had years before they had to bite the bullet, maybe 2xko would have had longer if they hadn't spent 9 years not releasing
