Last night I dreamed that I was in charge of landscaping Stephen King’s grave. He wasn’t dead or anything in my dream either. I was busy trying to attract Anna’s Hummingbirds to his headstone with flowers…

I’ve been buying them for about ten years now. I really like to look back on my old ones and see how much things have changed. But now with tariffs…. I’m not so sure.

I’m about to start watching Listers. 🍿Any other birders on here see it yet?

I just started reading The Fort Bragg Cartel by Seth Harp, and, man, is it brutal. I am continuously shocked by what the upper echelons in our military and government get away with. I also am shocked that anyone who does these things could ever live with themselves after.

All banding, marking, and sampling is being conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey’s BBL.

Aww! They always make my day

A hummingbird, possibly a juvenile male ruby-throated hummingbird or an adult female, is flying over a section of Turk’s Cap flowers. The flowers are bright red-orange in this lighting. The bird has a white throat, an emerald green back, and various shades of brown to green mixed in. It has a spot of white just above its eye. The wings are moving too fast for the camera to focus on and are just a blur.

The world is a lot, so here, have a hummingbird!

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

I put a brush pile in my backyard, and since then I’ve had a rabbit visit and more wrens are stopping by! The bewick’s wrens seem to be my most frequent visitors to it.

Yeah… when I was younger, I fully bought into my vote being meaningless as a result and didn’t vote. Now I vote no matter what. One day it won’t be meaningless if enough people decide to vote.
