Leverkusen are no mugs, the flicks and one touch passes we’ve been trying in attack throughout the first half aren’t working. We need to up the intensity and show more attacking intent in the second half

We got away with that one, we seriously need to step up a couple of gears to stay in this game

Great performance tonight by the whole team. Loved some of the play which was sharp and cut through USG at times.
Gordon much better, but Tonali and Woltemade were levels above. Tonali is world class and I’m massively impressed by Woltemade, what a player he’s going to be for us.

Possibly mate, Gordon's head was up his arse last year which is understandable when he's a Liverpool supporter. I just think he needs to get over it now if that is what's the matter with him. Fair enough with Barnes when there's a new born in the house.

He's currently a shadow of the player he was in his first full season with us. I'm not sure what's going on with him? The Liverpool thing can't be used as an excuse anymore. Between Gordon and Barnes, we're not getting the quality we expected down the left wing this season.

Both Gordon and Barnes have had a shocking game

Barcelona are a hell of a side, but we should have punished them tonight. They’ve been patient and clinical up front, we’ve been sloppy and wasteful.
It’s cost us big time

Totally agree, two of the front three haven’t played well, the one that did has been subbed off. Those early missed chances have seriously cost us tonight.

5am for me, there’s no way I’m getting any sleep. It’s looking very likely I’ll be calling in sick tomorrow 🍻🍻

No, definitely not. He’s a self obsessed arrogant prick.

Sandro, he’s on a different level. Anderson is going to be some player, but he’s got some way to go to get anywhere near Sandro.

Count me in. After the way he’s played this, getting the move to Merseyside that he wants would feel like we’ve given in to him. Sell him to Barca and the CL game would be a one off, I can stomach that, but twice a season against Liverpool would be hard to take, he’s still a hell of a player.

Watched the video ant thought the same thing!! That drill top is absolute quality 😍😍
Also quite excited by the signing as well, got a feeling he’s going to do very well here

My feeling is we’ll get a really important win. Our points return so far hasn’t reflected how well we’ve played. I think this is the game where we get the points we deserve in a hard fought win 💪

Eddie Howe is establishing himself as one of the best managers in the Premier League and I am so grateful we have him at Newcastle. At present clubs are trying to poach our best players, it’s not going to be long before they try and take our manager as well. Let’s hope that never happens #nufc

Was gutted at the thought of him leaving (and still am tbh), but if we can get £150m for him and bring in Wissa and Sesko, it would be a lot easier to accept. Trouble is, the club seem to be in turmoil at board level and aren't filling me with confidence about how they're going to handle this. #nufc

This photo is one of my best moments from many years of being a Newcastle supporter. Isak has given us many great moments, with this one for me, being the pick of them in the final, but I can't help feeling absolutely gutted this morning about him leaving.

Not impressed at all and totally agree with your Meh sentiment.
I had expected more from Adidas to be honest.

Have to agree. The feelings of optimism and excitement at the start of the window are starting to turn into feelings of deja vu from previous windows.
I’m still really hopeful we’ll make another signing or two that can improve the first team but only time will tell.

My personally curated list of Newcastle United BlueSky accounts. I have tried to make it as comprehensive as possible, and I continually update it with that goal in mind. bsky.app/profile/did:...

If they ever put that into production, they won't be able to keep up with the demand. Best version of the black and white stripes I've seen in a long time.

Not a fan of it, it's petty boring in my opinion. Think Adidas will notice a significant drop in sales figures with this one.

I think we can nick a win, it’s going to be tough but we should be too strong for Palace at home. Villa next will be harder and as much as I’m hoping for another win, a draw there wouldn’t be the worst result, but, it means we have to win tonight. HWTL ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️

There's been some brilliant images and videos from Wembley over the past week, but this one sums up everything for me.
Incredible moment in time for #NUFC

Pre-game people were saying the match would be won in midfield. Our midfield three were outstanding. Big Joe battled like his life depended on it, Bruno and Tonali pressed and covered every blade of grass and didn’t allow Liverpool to play.
I’m still in dreamland, What a performance 🏆
