Damn, this list must have taken some compiling

Yep. Grandstanding by them, obviously.

Yep, it’s the standout on the player and phenomenon. It came before the last decade of his life, so doesn’t cover that.

Absolutely not. Teenagers live in the world that they’re about to inherit, they care about it more deeply than plenty of adults, they’re disproportionately affected by policy, and they have a right and a need to be informed rather than patronised

04.11.2025 11:10 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

And like, it shouldn’t be *Teen Vogue’s* job to be the organ of record for rising fascism! It’s cool that they did it but them doing it solo is like leaving the defence of Portland to that one frog

Major media has been hostilely occupied en masse, leaving only scraps

You’ve shown such consistent strength through this long and shitty situation, well done. I hope some measure of peace is heading your way.

Legit, for the past couple of years Teen Vogue has been one of the very few remaining major titles to publish political commentary that clearly addressed the American cultural descent into madness. Invaluable for young readers, filing a gulf. No wonder it’s being squashed

Just quietly, I’m tipping that if a tattoo parlour in Croatia casually had a totenkopf on the wall for you to choose, they probably had some other shit on the wall too that would be a giveaway

Especially in proportional terms by lower earning people, who spend all of their income, versus higher earning people who spend very little of it

I remember in Independence Day when the White House blew up, the whole cinema cheered, but now that it’s being done by a senile criminal with a bulldozer it doesn’t seem so cathartic

22.10.2025 10:15 β€” πŸ‘ 31    πŸ” 6    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 1

It’s blatant racism *and* classism, saying that any migrant who hasn’t become rich can be viewed as a drain on society to be excised. And this is a formal policy pitch from a group that wants to claim it could form government!

22.10.2025 09:53 β€” πŸ‘ 12    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Β£39k is a high salary in the UK! Most urban professionals who I know in London are earning less than this, even the ones who are racially acceptable to the Tories

22.10.2025 09:47 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Even if you set aside the racial supremacism driving this, it’s insane in economic terms. Most people who claim unemployment benefits use that support on their way to becoming business owners or salaried taxpayers who collectively contribute far more than the initial cost. Investment, not expense.
