being an artist is simple

Step 1 : make coffee
Step 2 : get absorbed by drawing & forget about coffee
Step 3 : get a sip of cold coffee (nightmare realm experience)

Aww the sketch is really cute! And yeah, that’s very true! With traditional art I tend to work on bigger formats since 1) it’s a habit from art school and 2) it helps me remember ab the spacing and I don’t accidentally fall into the digital art mentality LOL The wip I mentioned is about 100 x 70 cm

Honestly, I’ve been having that feeling with my latest portfolio piece - it’s still a wip but I take regular breaks from it to keep a fresh perspective

I don’t draw realism often, so working on it and then taking a step back feels like waking up from some sort of art demon possession 😭
