I love Montana as I lived there for a few years, and it's beauty is like all of the PNW, it needs to stay clean, pure and wild
No more data centers that are killing our Mother Earth at a rate she won't survive
If you live in Montana, PLEASE SCREAM NO BECAUSE IF YOU KILL MOTHER EARTH, WE ALL DIE

So apparently are rules of war. The USN left the survivors to die. The only help they got was from the Sri Lanka Navy. Fucking war crimes.

U.S. sub sinks Iranian warship off Sri Lanka, killing 87 and expanding war zone A U.S. submarine sank an Iranian warship off the southern coast of Sri Lanka, killing dozens of sailors and dramatically widening Washington's pursuit of the Iranian navy.

A US submarine sinking a lonely, dinky Iranian surface ship an ocean away from the theater of the main conflictβ€”and 9000
miles from North Americaβ€”makes it pretty clear the US is fighting a general war, without the declaration required by the Constitution. www.reuters.com/world/asia-p...

Congress Must Confront and Reject Theocratic Justifications for U.S. War Powers Text SIGN PXZYZD to 50409 β€” Recent reporting raises alarming allegations that some U.S. military commanders have framed current operations involving Iran as fulfillment of Christian end-times prophecy. If true in whole or in part, this represents a direct threat to constitutional governance and demands immediate congressional action. This issue requires urgent attention because: β€’ The Constitution β€” not religious doctrine β€” governs U.S. war powers. β€’ Sectarian messaging in military briefings undermines morale, cohesion, and lawful command authority. β€’ Congress has an independent duty to prevent theocratic influence over national security decisions. Military.com (March 3, 2026) reports that the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) received more than 100 complaints β€” later reported as exceeding 200 β€” from service members across multiple branches and installations. According to those complaints, certain commanders allegedly described the Iran conflict as β€œGod’s plan,” referenced the Book of Revelation, and characterized military action as connected to β€œArmageddon” and the return of Jesus Christ. These allegations rely on confidential complaints and require independent verification. However, the seriousness of the claims alone warrants oversight. The mere perception that U.S. military force is being framed in sectarian or apocalyptic terms erodes public trust, weakens global credibility, and places non-Christian and nonreligious service members at a disadvantage within their own chain of command. The United States was founded on a framework of religious liberty and institutional neutrality. Government officials are free to hold personal beliefs. They are not free to exercise state power β€” especially the power to wage war β€” in service of theological objectives. History has shown that when religious fervor merges with state military power, the consequences are destabilizing both domestically and internationally. Congress must ensure that U.S. military operations are justified by lawful authorization and strategic necessity β€” not by prophecy or nationalist theology. Accordingly, I urge you to: 1. Support immediate hearings before the House and Senate Armed Services Committees. 2. Request sworn testimony from Department of Defense leadership regarding guidance on religious neutrality in official communications. 3. Direct the DoD Inspector General to investigate whether sectarian or eschatological messaging has occurred in operational briefings. 4. Publicly and unequivocally affirm that U.S. military policy is grounded in constitutional authority, not religious mandate. This matter transcends party affiliation. Protecting the separation of church and state is not hostility toward religion; it is the safeguard that protects all Americans equally. Congress must act decisively to reaffirm that the United States military answers to the Constitution alone.

Rep. Burgess Owens won’t seek reelection in 2026 Congressman Owens’ decision comes in the wake of Utah’s long-fought redistricting and a court-appointed map with a Democratic-leaning district. Owens unsuccessfully sued to stop the map.

In 2015, a park ranger cited Sheehy for discharging a firearm in Glacier National Park.[6][8] Sheehy wrote in a statement, "while reloading our vehicle an improperly placed firearm kept in the vehicle for bear protection fell out and discharged into my right forearm."[9] But in his 2023 memoir, he wrote that a bullet had lodged in his arm during a 2012 Afghanistan firefight.[10] Sheehy told The Washington Post that he "made up the story about the gun going off to protect himself and his former platoonmates from facing a potential military investigation into an old bullet wound that he said he got in Afghanistan in 2012."[11][12][13][6] He said he did not report the incident at the time to protect his unit's members because he suspected it was from friendly fire.[14][15][16] In 2015, Sheehy was awarded a Bronze Star with valor and a Purple Heart. Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke performed the ceremonial pinning of the medals.[3][17] Sheehy has said that questioning whether he was shot in Afghanistan is "tantamount to falsely accusing him of stolen valor",[12] but has declined to release his medical records[18][19] and said there are no records showing he was shot in Afghanistan.[20][21][22][23]

Sheehy left active duty in 2014 and was discharged from the Navy Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) in 2019.[24] He wrote in his memoir and in a resume submitted to the Montana State Legislature that he had been medically discharged due to wounds received in Afghanistan. In October 2024, an NBC News review of Sheehy's discharge paperwork found that Sheehy voluntarily resigned from commission, contradicting his claims that he was discharged from the military because of injuries he sustained on duty.

Since July, more than a dozen pregnant children have been moved to a single facility in the small town of San Benito, along the south Texas border. The children kept in Texas are as young as 13, and about half are pregnant because of rape, according to a joint investigation by the Texas Newsroom and the California Newsroom. In Texas, abortion is banned in nearly all circumstances, including rape and incest.

I'll just say that in a functional country, Sheehy would be expelled by the Senate.

Democratic Senators should publicly push for that.
