i always forget that the yard debris truck always comes way earlier than the trash or recycling trucks. luckily i got my bins on the curb on time this morning....

the whole thing is really a master class in the effectiveness of staying on message for 40 years and now here we are.
here in Oregon there are over 700,000 ppl who receive food assistance. there's only 137,000 black ppl in the entire state. that math isn't mathing

so they have no issue with snap benefits going away because "those ppl need to get jobs"
so even poor white ppl who rely on those benefits don't believe there aid will get cut off because they are white and don't get "welfare" like black ppl

propaganda works. since Ronald Reagan the media has been pushing this idea that the only ppl "on welfare" are black ppl who drive brand new Cadillac's to the grocery store and eat lobster and steak every night. they are the same ppl who think that only black ppl commit crime.

i imagine that like twitter by this time next year this site will also no longer be viable and either there will be something else that pops up in its place... or twitter was the beginning of the end and social media will soon no longer exist as we know it today.

for the most part i have accepted that social media is now considered to be either something that's fully controlled or something that will be eventually compromised if it can't be controlled. this seems to be happening at an accelerated pace.

zero faith or reason to believe that the leadership of this site will in anyway prevent what happened at twitter from happening here. the coordinated addition of all those accounts is just the beginning would be my guess. i imagine ppl will start randomly getting banned for perceived transgressions

however i realize that's highly unlikely. so instead i'll just be here rocking out if anyone needs me.

i have this epic record collection and an amazing hi-fi system... and literally no one has ever heard this stereo system but me. that's a tragedy. maybe one day someone will materialize who wants to hang out and listen to music with me.
