A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

This is no more legal than if the government fired the board of a university or your local United Way charity, and sent FBI agents to force their current leaders from their own building.

If Musk/Trump can get people to justify this, they'll be a step closer to justifying that.

The administration is saying they can do this because they "fired" most of the existing USIP board, and the remaining board picked new leadership.

But the law is crystal clear (www.usip.org/sites/defaul...) that the president can fire USIP board members only under the following circumstances: 2/
