Weird response, but something about Ace Frehley passing makes me really want my old Ibanez Destroyer and my Marshall combo that I traded to the local music store long, long ago. You can’t really wail on “Rocket Ride” on a Rickenbacker or Jazzmaster.

Come on, now. You have a voice in all this and a lot of people check in with you as a barometer of where we are at (among others, but you’re in the mix) and you need to be inspiring hope and resolve to persevere through these times.

One of the bits of sartorial wisdom I have earned over the course of my time on earth (middle 2 of 3, I imagine) is…. drum roll… Never buy Chelsea boots on eBay or Poshmark when plastered, wrinkled or otherwise paralytic. Shnockered is OK, but off yer tits is Ill-advised at best.

I’m trying a radical new social media strategy of not commenting on things I don’t know very much about. It pairs nicely with never reading the comments on any news story. Ever. This allows me to retain a naive faith in humanity.

Great victory! Son has several friends over and I made then watch clip of The Who doing “Won’t Get Fooled Again” from The Kids Are Alright and told them about the times I met John Entwistle. They agreed that the scream after the laser part was pretty cool.
