The real questions is why 32% of Republicans *aren't* opposed to it.
I think he should campaign on closing all of the tax loopholes rather than on a wealth tax. That would net the same benefit but would seem more fair to everyone.
Or he could actually exercise his right to vote and ignore the speaker of the house and Trump. It's not that hard.
As a Northwestern alum, I am deeply disappointed that they signed this or any deal.
As a Northwestern alum, I'm deeply saddened by their signing of the agreement with Trump yesterday. The terms aren't especially onerous, but I expected them to keep fighting based on principle. There is no reason the U.S. gov should have such a deep interest in the internal affairs of a university.
You don't use such a system, that's how you balance it.
I got that one!
The "Let them eat cake!" strategy.
Exactly!
I think it's great that they prioritize some of these "delighter" features and not just "performance" features. The debate is always about what is a "must have" vs. a "performance" features. See Kano model...https://operationsinsider.com/the-language-of-lean/kano-model
This is the way.
They're not just sending them to a third country. They're putting them in prison there, for an unknown amount of time, with no legal recourse, and no way to get out.
Nice Kenyon pillow!
It's not about murder rate. It's immigration rate. "New York City is home to about 3.1 million immigrants, who comprise about 38 percent of the city's total population." He seems to hate immigrants.

Yes, but was long as Trump has pardon power and is in office, there will be no accountability.
What if it turns out that we're all correct?
Except that they weren't ever the party of fiscal responsibility. They convinced everyone that was the case, but they blew up the debt in nearly every republican administration.
He doesn’t care because he’s going to get us (taxpayers) to retrofit it at the cost of $1 billion (and no cost to himself), and then he’ll take it from the government when he’s no longer president.
The camps are already here.
There's now an API to the presidency.
It's already happened.
"You can't handle the truth!"
So when are the lawsuits being filed?
Don't forget @harvard.edu!
Please rephrase to "Trump is on Russia's side." The rest of us are not.
Except that we're talking the rest of the world down with us, which makes it so much worse!
Totally agree. And how long are they sentenced to be there for? The rest of their lives? Seems like a gulag rather than deportation. We need to stop calling it deportation when they are being put in prison with no trial, no sentencing, and no timeline on their incarceration.
And I ask again, how long are these peoples' sentences? Are they in an El Salvadoran jail for 1 year, 2 years, the rest of their lives? For speaking out? These are gulags.
His plan is to pass the tax cut bill using the idea that we'll be bringing in $6T in tariffs to offset the cost, and then after the bill is passed, he'll remove the tariffs. This has been the plan all along.
As someone who grew up in Youngstown and know what it's like there now, this is a big deal that 2800 people showed up.
