A black and white comic in 4 pages and 19 panels. We see the characters Ayzir, a masculine looking ethereal with a long skirt and hood (going by they/them, xe/xem and he/him pronouns) and Samiren, a Void Elf Demon Hunter. They are walking in the deserts of K'aresh. Panel 1: Samiren: So… how does it feel? Reaching the end of your quest at last. Once we bring back your Nexus-Princess, perhaps she’ll grant you some time away—so you can finally show me K’aresh, hm? Ayzir: Once we bring her back, you will not be here. Panel 2: Samiren: Why Ayzir, I didn’t think you and the Nexus-Princess were close like that! What a scandal. Let’s go get her. Panel 3: Ayzir: When she returns, you will not be here because you will be dead. Panel 4: Samiren: Perhaps we should refine your sense of humor before she arrives. Panel 5: Samiren: You were jesting, were you not?

Panel 6: I was not entirely truthful when we began this journey. The miracle you believe preserved you, your resurrection, was an error made by my associates. The life essence within you was never intended for you. It was placed in your body for safekeeping, and it must be returned to bring back the Nexus-Princess. You died in that tavern brawl, Samiren. Panel 7: Ayzir: Had there been another viable method of transport… Panel 8: Ayzir: You would not be here. Panel 9: Samiren: STOP! Just stop. You brought me here, realms away from my home, just because I was carrying her soul for you? I was a vessel. Samiren: Then why tell me all of this? Why not just kill me now that we are here?

Panel 10: (silent panel) Panel 11: Ayzir: Something changed. Ayzir: My oaths betrayed each other. My promise to protect her… Ayzir: …could not coexist with my promise to protect you. Panel 12 & 13: Ayzir: I came to know you, Samiren. And in the brief time we traveled together… Panel 14: Ayzir: I came to know the universes and multitudes you contained... Samiren: I trusted you… Panel 15: | Ayzir: ...far beyond the soul you unknowingly carried.

Panel 16: Samiren: GET AWAY FROM ME! Samiren: I trusted you! Panel 17: (silent panel on Ayzir) Panel 18: Samiren: Just stay away! Panel 19: Samiren: Just stay away from me...

The best way to tell a story is from the 3rd Act emotional climax of course, when the characters hit the point of no return 💜 But I will write the rest of Samiren and Ayzir's story after I get this art out of my system ✨

I will scan this again another moment but I was listening to the Dark Ones and MAN- fit for the moment- can't do lettering to save my life but >:3

Paper works better because it slows the process down, have less opportunity to undo and erase, and brain has to train extra hard (same with digital vs paper journalling, paper gives more time for the brain to process)

I do lots of studies on PAPER, lots of tracing and photorealistic copies. This way muscle memory comes back without thinking about what to draw, and despite feeling worse for a couple days, it resets my brain. Once the lines come naturally, will be easier to draw any character again
