We took forward the unfinished reporting of Palestinian journalists who were killed or injured in both Gaza and the West Bank. We also revealed the Israeli government’s strategies to exonerate itself of any responsibility in the deaths of these journalists. 4/5

In June 2024, then in March 2025, Forbidden Stories coordinated the Gaza Project, gathering more than 50 journalists from 18 media outlets. We investigated the targeting of several Gazan reporters and media buildings by Israeli forces. 3/5

Since October 7, 2023, over 200 Palestinian journalists have been killed in Gaza. Journalists in the West Bank have also reported an increase in harassment and violence by the Israeli military and settlers. 2/5

As a journalist based in #Togo, Géraud Kossi Afangnowou specializes in investigations into goods trafficking and smuggling, particularly of alcoholic beverages. He works with Les Coulisses du Consommateur and Togo Reporting Post, where he exposes abuses that harm consumers. 4/4

In Haiti, the murder of a journalist who denounced corruption and a prosecutor above the law Gary Tesse was murdered in 2022 after criticizing Les Cayes prosecutor Ronald Richemond, whom he accused of illegal practices. Forbidden Stories traveled to Haiti to continue Tesse’s investigation.
