In BioMed, you generally don't need a Masters to pursue a PhD. A bachelor's in a related field will usually work. Also, pursuing your PhD in BioMed usually includes a full tuition waiver and a livable stipend while going to school.

Holy crap! I think that was the same summer they aired Vampire Hunter D, Iria the Animation, Robot Carnival, Galaxy Express 999, and Armitage III.

Watching Rampage and living in Illinois was wild. Never enough corn/soy.

Add that to knowing that the main character *should* have gotten hit with the Rampage Juice in the final act so a giant Dwayne Johnson could drop The People's Elbow from Sears Tower onto a kaiju.

An array of 19 BattleTech miniatures and a jump plume. Normally I would list the specific ones, but this is a lot. They're prepared on small scratch-built cardboard shelves inside a box affixed with a hair dryer.

Finished my take on Grant Abbitt's Dungeon Door tutorial. It was more time consuming than the other's I've worked on, but I really like the results. Pointiness-based procedural textures are fantastic. I do wish he had taken the tutorial all the way to the lighting stage, though.

With that said, recycled billboard vinyl is pretty easy to acquire and use for things (other than flooring). Common uses are tarps, garden/pond liners, and absolutely ridiculous slip-and-slides.

I can absolutely see that. Vengeance took up so much of her headspace there wasn't room for much else. I had a hard time fully appreciating her character but I can see what the writers were trying to do and I respect it. Should have had more time.

Am I alone in feeling like he had ace vibes early in the show. Even (or especially) when he was living next door to a brothel. Season 4 Amos gave me whiplash. Either way, my favorite character in my favorite TV show. Flawless casting.

The coloring begins! I'm digging this method of procedural colors for a couple reasons:
1) My brief foray into UV unwrapping wasn't great (room for improvement, for sure).
2) Using the sharpness modifier and gradients feels a lot like using washes and edge highlighting on minis.

The final piece of the previous images that did not have a texture, the lock, now does.

And with this, I'll be able to start coloring stuff. It was on this step that I realized Abbitt provided his own sketch for people to work from and hadn't intended people to use their own...but I've enjoyed making this door mine.
