And with that, the last train of the 2025 season has departed Wharf.
Thank you to everyone that has supported us this year by visiting, and huge round of applause to all our wonderful staff and volunteers who keep the wheels turning on our Railway with a Heart of Gold!

Snippet from Real Time Trains showing the Azuma was one minute up from Fletton Junction onwards, and arrived at Huntington 3 minutes after it was originally due to pass.
Whatever else comes out once the attack on the ECML train last night, this alone is a credit to the train crew, driver, and signalling team.
Huntingdon was the first possible stop. In a highly stressful situation and improvising a plan the train lost just 3 minutes vs line speed to get there.

This poster, By Metro to Watford, promotes the new electric service operating from the City, via Baker Street to Watford. It boasts 140 daily trains, starting at 5.12am from Baker Street and finishing at quarter past midnight. The illustration has an insert showing the town centre of Watford with market stalls and a Metropolitan Railway (Met) train, destination Watford.
#OnThisDay 100 years ago the Met Line's Watford branch opened. It was intended to end on the High Street, optimistically seen in this 1925 poster. The current Moon Under Water pub was purchased for the station but the extension stalled leaving today's remote terminus. Poster: LT Museum collection

With it's large majority, introducing PR is something that this Labour government could do at little cost.
And with the party hovering at 17%, it would actually benefit Labour.
It would also prevent Farage getting into No.10.
