Definitely have an attachment to him since he was the "first" big name the Braves signed after the sanctions. If he has a good, healthy, full season in Rome. I'll feel really good about his future.

47. Luis Vargas continued the domination coming on in relief of Harper. Vargas went 1IP/2K, though he did hit a batter. He has earned continued shots in the 8th and could take over the closer role from Joseph once he moves up.

58. Landon Harper is listed as a RP in my rankings, but he gets the start here and shows enough that I would like to see him get more starts this year. He went 5IP/2H/8K. This included getting TBs Matthew Etzel(26th) swinging twice and freezing Will Simpson(29th).

45. Ethan Workinger had to get in on the fun, too. While it was not a bomb (rare for Workinger these days), he did drive in a late insurance run with this RBI 2B down the line.

48. Geraldo Quintero is back once again, showing off his impressive power for his frame. Despite facing the top ranked Brody Hopkins (TBs 8th), Quintero just pushes it over the wall. We need to see more contact, but Quintero's unexpected power is always fun

38. Drew Compton had himself a day during Columbus' double header. He homered twice, once in each game and both times in the 4th inning. The second was off of Brody Hopkins, TBs 8th ranked prospect.

16. Herick Hernandez is now officially in the lead for the performance of the week! He went 6IP/4H/1ER/1BB/10K. As you can see from all of the swings at balls in the dirt, they were not seeing anything Hernandez was throwing at them. Just filthy stuff last night.

24. Rolddy Munoz joins Dodd with a perfect outing of his own from the set-up role, going 1IP/2K. He fools TBs 3rd ranked prospect, Brayden Taylor, while also freezing Will Simpson(29th).

29. Dylan Dodd was called up to the big league club last week but did not appear in a game before being sent back down. He still sits at 36.1 MLB IP for his career. Here, he makes AAA look easy again. 1IP/2K, no base runners. He'll get another MLB shot soon enough.

37. Ambioris Tavarez couldn't let EJ have all the fun as he continued his breakout season. Tavarez jumps allll over this high fastball. The bat speed, the fielding, the potential all make him a very fun prospect.

42. EJ Exposito got the scoring started with a shot over the highest wall in the park! This one was gone off the bat, his 4th of the season. Exposito has the pop to make it happen, just needs a little more contact.

36. Hayden Harris goes 1.2IP/1BB/3K to lower his season ERA to 0.53. Get this man to AAA! The cherry on top was getting Brayden Taylor(3), Homer Bush Jr(16), and Cooper Kinney(23). All TB top prospects. What an outing.

#58 Eric Hartman is certainly making his case as one of the best young bats in the system, and here he comes up big again in the later innings to drive in a run with a RBI 2B.

#17 Herick Hernandez might have taken the loss here, but it was due to a couple of missed spots, more than a bad overall day. He went 5.2IP/5H/5ER/2BB/6K while striking out PITs top prospects Omar Alfonzo(19th)x2 and Keiner Delgado(26th) twice as well.

#15 David McCabe returns with another big hit for Columbus. This one, an extra innings RBI 2B. After scoring 1 run all game and collecting a total of 5 hits, McCabe led the way getting this big hit in the middle of the rally.

58. Eric Hartman continues his good start to his first year as a professional with this late inning RBI 2B, the only run of the game for Augusta. He's been a staple in the middle of the order for Augusta over recent weeks after starting the year batting 8th/9th in the lineup.

21. Luke Sinnard appears to have mastered A-ball. I don't anticipate he'll be there for much longer. He went 6IP/3H/1BB/9K. He was getting hitters to chase on his high fastball as well as his breaking stuff out of the zone. Very impressive performance.

43. EJ Exposito sent this ball deep over the LF wall. He did not waste this middle/middle pitch!

37. Hayden Harris 2IP/1H/1ER/1BB/4K.
He secured the W by K-ing out the side in the 10th, but they were only there after he allowed his first ER of the year in the 9th. He got both CHCs 18th and 28th prospects, Pedro Ramirez and Pablo Aliendo, in the 10th with a runner on 2nd.

#16 Nick Montgomery is trying to give Workinger a run for his Player of the Week trophy. After just missing the HR the day prior, he leaves zero doubt with this blast to LF. He tags TXs 27th ranked prospect, Caden Scarborough.

39. Drew Compton continued the rally in the 7th inning with a shot into the gap for the RBI 2B. The Workinger/Compton combo has been a very fun watch to start the season for Columbus.

47. Ethan Workinger won't let a game pass without coming up big for Columbus. Here, he breaks the 0-0 tie in the 7th inning with a RBI 2B. Braves MiLB Hitter of the Year, so far.

3. Hurston Waldrep now has the clubhouse lead for best starting pitching performance of the season for the system. 5.1IP/2H/2ER/2BB/10K. His slider was making hitters look completely lost at the plate. This includes getting TBs top ranked prospect, Carson Williams, swinging 3x.
