I just received word that he had passed away.

I don't know much as yet save that it was apparently natural causes.

I wanted to make sure that his family knew before I made a public post about it. I'll post more info as I find out.

I still think of Furry as the NEW fandom that I moved into after Science Fiction got too limiting in the 80s.

This was our first time since the Morphicon days. It wasn't bad. The new hotel seemed ok, though it was a bit short on function space - but next year they plan to expand into the convention center next door.
