The Tour de France slows rise of far right: "It looked like our town was actually important" | BikeRadar Voting in towns and villages on the route of the Tour found to shift less to the right than nearby areas, according to new research

Fascinating--teasing out how political leanings are influenced (actually, attenuated) by the event's economic benefits but also and more potently the attention and respect lent by being on the route. This seems important stuff. Via @derekvanvliet

Know someone who wants to expand their car-free travel throughout Colorado? I'm hosting a 'dry run' on Oct 11 to show how easy it is. We'll take the G Line from Olde Town to Union Station, make an easy transfer to Bustang and then head to Idaho Springs. Let me know interest and I'll send details.

Easy-on, easy-off mobility hubs serve as Bustang’s β€˜center of gravity’ as CDOT works to open more β€œWhen I board the bus, it’s going to be a straight shot,” one Bustang rider said, β€œwith no twisting and turning.” The Loveland mobility hub that opened last year has m…

Colorado’s mobility hubs do key things: shave significant minutes from travel time (esp. when center-loaded) and serve as connection points for other routes and modes to get you to or from your final destination. The I-25 express lanes, free for transit, likewise help. And it shows in ridership!

CDOT concerned over crashes involving wildlife
YouTube video by 9NEWS CDOT concerned over crashes involving wildlife

Great piece about the increasing number of wildlife collisions on Colorado roads. CDOT is building one of the largest wildlife overpasses ever on I-25 at the far south edge of DougCo. It’s extra wide to accommodate the large animals in this areaβ€”w/ 54 sq miles of open space. youtu.be/4lNDO4C-r_Q

@ucame2cashow.bsky.social The good folks at CDOT carried out 2 observations bet 4-6pm of the turn movement at 64th. The construction north of there at 68th m/b influencing motorist behavior. They’ve reallocated 5 seconds of time from southbound left to northbound left, & think that will alleviate it

What’s 8 miles long, has 800 posts and costs $20 million? The new I-70 sound wall The new wall is meant to block out more sound, dust and pollutants for the nearby neighborhoods.

I believe it's 4 miles in each direction (I-70 Pecos to Wads), still a big help for residents who abut the highway. A $27M project made possible in part by pandemic funding. Also: not just sound impacts; there are pollutants & dust that are better blocked by concrete. denverite.com/2025/06/22/n...
