@bsky.app ISSUE 4 IS OUT! with 3 survey methods and 2 statistics articles. We've got a backlog of 20 accepted articles -- some in preprint now -- but we're seeking more manuscripts for 2026, especially stat papers. So please consider submitting your next manuscript to JSSAM. #AAPOR
The Journal of Survey Statistics and Methodology welcomes submissions for the 2026 special issue on Advances in Survey Paradata through May 16 (academic.oup.com/jssam/pages/...).
The new editorial team of Emily Berg and Brad Edwards will pick up managing the JSSAM social media in 2025! Social media from the journal will be on hiatus until then.
Best wishes from the Nebraska-based social media team to all JSSAM readers for the New Year!
This is the last day of posts from the Univ. of Nebraska-based social media team. We set up the JSSAM social media accounts 4 years ago to spread the word about the great work published in the journal. The account has been managed by editor @olsonkm.bsky.social, Angelica Phillips, & Ryan Doud.
Are you doing innovative work with survey paradata? If so, submit it to this upcoming special issue of JSSAM!
😍 @olsonkm.bsky.social: If you use complex survey data, read and use the PRICSSA checklist (Preferred Reporting Items for Complex Sample Survey Analysis) in this Editor's Choice paper by Seidenberg, Moser and our @bradytwest.bsky.social et al. 👏👏
Call for papers! Special Issue: Advances in Survey Paradata with Guest Editors: @bradytwest.bsky.social & Lynne S. Schofield
Submissions to the special issue are welcomed between December 16, 2024 and May 16, 2025
Details are here:

This was a really helpful read.
Thanks, @olsonkm.bsky.social, for highlighting our paper. This was fun to write because it forced us to really think deeply about the connection between self-reports and sensor data, and it helped me clarify my own thinking about how we can combine the two.
I have served as the editor-in-chief for the survey methods side of @jssam.bsky.social for the last 4 years. We have had really great papers come through. To end my term, I want to highlight a few of them from the survey methods side of the journal in no particular order, other than the first paper.
