The USA is only 'special' in the sense that it is the Mystery Babylon described in Rev. 17 and 18. There, Babylon's sins are specifically mentioned as greed, luxuriousness and fornication - sins that Trump has exemplified in his own life. Trump is our leader because he is a vessel of God's wrath.

Yes, part of the beauty of Bible prophecy is that it functions on higher metaphorical/spiritual levels as well as applying to specific time periods and individuals. I don't think the two are necessarily exclusive at all.

Yes, that's a good point - Revelation is a mixture of vision, metaphor and vignettes, and it places an onus on the reader to recognize how its poetic language might be reflected in literal events/people. So, it isn't a linear book of factual history that we read like any other.

That's correct. This ends with Christ coming to separate the sheep from the goats (Matthew 25). 2 Peter 3: "10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare."
