sometimes a character's narrative purpose is to have one or two key personality traits that dont get expanded upon and thats OKAY. even in ensemble casts, there will be more focale characters, if not just one main focale character, among the main cast.
people have become way too obsessed with the idea of every single character given even an inch of depth in a piece of media getting equal amounts of time and energy put into them, even ones that are very clearly secondary or even tertiary characters.
is $20 a little steep for what arent even the best GBA pokemon games? maybe so. but im sorry, i think paying $50 every year for like... three games im interested in is way worse an option.
listen, i wont say much about the FRLG discourse, but there is something incredibly fascinating to me about the people who are like "$20 one time is way too much for these old ass games!! i should just have to pay $50 every year to play them!!!"
