Maybe it's just peak seasonal depression and all the horrible news lately. I really do love creating. I do love being independent. But I can't keep the same pace up just to sustain myself. I hope I find a solution.

It's embarrassing i already feel like giving up after just one year of doing this fulltime. It's a vicious cycle of little pay but needing to accept those jobs. Little income is still better than none after all. I know a lot from my struggle comes from the fact that I am a slow Artist too. (2/3)

I don't think I can be a fulltime Illustrator for very much longer. It pains me. I worked all my life to get to where i am now but there is just hardly any energy left. (1/3)

My take away lesson from my first fulltime freelance year: Don't illustrate 6 childrenbooks within 12 months.
