You said She was Beautiful
i looked at a photo you snapped of her, taken in front of the christmas tree, two years ago when we were together.
i saw a human with her heart on her sleeve, and rage unking in stoweling to calm.. you told her to be beautiful, was to grow out her hair--so she chopped it all off.
you told her to be woman, was to walk with daintiness--so she memorized the trucker's stance.
you told her that beauty, was all in the use she could be--so she stopped existing.
you told her she was yours forever, so she cut off everything--until you would never want her.
you named her, so she said goodbye--
when she changed it all forever.

The Lament of Cognito Amor as we climb to the top tonight a slow and steady cranking fills the air turning gears creaking and groaning pause the world
we have reached the initial plunge as we stand above it all for a single moment we see the land below spread out for eternity
a circus laid out for the amusement of the rich unchecked with few precautions for the masses ready to send millions hurdling down a roller-coaster
the ride holds no basis in physics
but rather claims a pursuit of a thrill for the few for deaths no longer matter this time
jump down
set off your paraglider and hope you will each the ground in safety
watch as the cars fall off the tracks reaching up your arms in angst and wait
catch
one soul and then another
as many as these feeble hands seek
breath
and do not die during this time from a plummeting track upon your neck
oxygen
will only assist the others
when you have put on your mask

Queer Shrines of Magic
they drew a line across my chest cut out my nipple size then unzipped my pants
and reached that long slender hand underneath the waist band
they tried to guess how the alchemy of hormones flushed through this skin and reacted to their cold hands forcing me to be one condition
you said the magic of being was outlawed and that this shrine of my existence was no longer needed in the holy land i had overstayed my welcome and was now to be escorted away
i must be placed in a box made by hands because nature's art was therefore banned this queer existence must be deported away from here and back down to a river of murky shame
but give me blade or give me the flame drown this holy vessel deep within its stays tell the supposed demon to leave its course and yet i slit the ropes around my wrists yell out my voice like it was never shunned
i remind the soul that being here is being in awe of nature existence is never based
upon the banished soul of another this shrine is still yet holy magic
