Oh my GOD King County Public Health is just wilding out for Valentines Day (and a lovely one).
yeah, it makes it really impossible to reread them.
yeah, any girl character in his books could be one of his victims because being a character was what he used as an enticement....

I'm currently sheltering a kid putting herself through URI, and she needs help! She is so brave and determined, and so worthy of support! www.gofundme.com/f/help-ameli...
I could not unsee scary owls when I visited Wells. Shades of Alan Garner....
Happy world linguistics day from Smithfield RI!

Happy Pennies Birthday!!!! Go you! (I to must go, to secure a copy....)
Make it pay for entering your brain. Question it. Interrogate what is meant by "founding."
I will be on the lookout!
Looking forward to when it comes out in paperback!
you could always sort out your junk draw right now and carefully put everything out on the kitchen counter to contemplate.....plenty of time for tomorrow for other less important tasks....
D looks even better.
thank You for writing it for me and others of my ilk!
I loved the book I just reviewed for Timeslip Tuesday! @carolinecarlson.bsky.social charlotteslibrary.blogspot.com/2025/09/the-...
Indeed! So hard to keep track of it-- I am pretty sure the little bits of clout I acquired are lost in the junk drawer....
I love the side eye!
I will keep my eyes out for a copy in the wild to send your way if I get lucky! Or you could come visit again, to enjoy an enticing assortment of snow bound vintage fiction (and my company)
congratulations to the Mythopoeic 2024 Award winners! I loved both Island of Whispers by Frances Hardinge, illustrated by Emily Gravett and The Island of the Gods Duology by Amie Kaufman mythsoc.org/news/news-20...
do try it then! I am a fan of snowbound stories, and this one is top notch in that regard!
I read them young, and still re-read them....but they are not books I would think to press you to read....If you do fill the urge, I suggest starting with Moominland Midwinter.
As a foreign service kid in the Bahamas in the 70s I went with my parents to a swanky pool party. I was told later the unsmiling bearded guy in a corner was Sean Connery which meant nothing. The chlorine stink of the grotto you had to swim under water to enter was much more memorable.
If you need any information about fish in precontact period Rhode Island, when you could apparently walk across rivers on the backs of spawning fish, let me know!
while in the meantime I am busily pulling it up in my own US woods because it is a horrible invasive here.....#sad
It isn't me!
yeah, why can't coal miners have nice things?
