Ooooh nice! I'm glad I do understand that part as bit! Currently working a programmer, but only experience in a few languages and frameworks (mostly c#), but I am curious how well the current experience I have can translate into making a game!
Some behaviors that checks if the next dialogue portion is told by the same character, and behave a bit differenty when a different character speaks in. Ooh, and some in/out animation for the dialogue box! Oh and different styles of box too, like if you speak in your mind or something. Aaaaaa
Aaaah thank you for the ideas! I do have some ideas in mind, definitely a simple dialogue box that writes down text, but with animation and sound, be able to stop at any point of the writing dialogue as if the character is speaking, some sound effects, and some more!
I would love to make some dialogue engine in Godot at some point! Would be fun as a first thing to make in Godot. And making it all in 2d sprites, I only touched spriting a liiiil bit but wanna wanna do more of that
