11. “Black Gold” by Marguerite Henry
I was such a horse kid, so of course I devoured ALL of Marguerite Henry’s books!
Of them, Black Gold was my favorite and still holds a special place in my heart.

“Gathering Blue” by Lois Lowry
Right now, everyone should read The Giver and Gathering Blue and take notes!
#BookSky
This was such a great book!
💙📚🪐
Oh! I just picked this up on a thrift store!
“Gathering Blue” by Lois Lowry
This is my favorite of The Giver Quartet. I really love the disability accessibility conversation in the book.

“The Giver” by Lois Lowry
My best friend is a school librarian. We were talking about The Giver Quartet and I decided I needed a reread.
This book gets better every time I read it!

I want to see a Zangoose with Miku pigtails.

8. “The Singing Hills Cycle” by Nghi Vo
I really love Nghi Vo’s books. But her Singing Hills Cycle series is so wonderful!!!
#BookSky
Another Animorphs book checked off! I made it through the first Megamorphs book: The Andalite’s Gift.
There are so many iconic scenes:
-Marco driving and hitting trash cans
-Cassie’s whale morph

2. If you're able to acquire an ARC, remember that "not for resale" is on the cover for a reason, and please, please, do not sell it. Selling ARCs is what leads publishers to reduce and reduce their print runs: we're going to wind up all-virtual if people don't cut it out.

7. “Wings and Wounds” by Dr. S.K. Burkman
A vet accidentally starts treating dragons. This book is a TREAT! I cannot wait for the next one!

6. “The Wave” by Susan Casey
I’m a huge fan of Susan Casey’s work, both her books and articles. But “The Wave” really captured me more than anything else she’s written. I think about it every time I see the ocean!

“The Rise of Neptune” by Scott Reigntgen
After finishing “Last Dragon on Mars,” I IMMEDIATELY had to check out the next book!
The only bad part about falling for an on-going series? I have to wait for the next book.
#BookSky #BookWormProblems
Haha! I can’t wait!

5. “Wishtree” by Katherine Applegate @kaaauthor.bsky.social
I love so many of Applegate’s books, it was hard to decide which one to list here. I settled on Wishtree because the book really made me pause and reflect.
And, who doesn’t love a tree MC?!

“The Butcher’s Masquerade” by Matt Dinniman
In any other book, they would have been jumping the shark. In Dungeon Crawler Carl, it’s just another Tuesday.

Always an honor to see #Animorphs pop up in articles like this. As a former reluctant reader myself, it truly means a lot. (For me, the answer would be CHARLOTTE'S WEB.) ❤️
I forgot to post February’s wrap-up!
Books Read: 15
Days Read: 28
Standout books:
-“The Last Dragon on Mars” by Scott Reigntgen
-“A Psalm For The Wild-Built” by Becky Chambers
I got through 4 Animorphs books. I need to pick up the pace a bit next month.

3. “Three Dark Crowns” by Kendare Blake
I LOVE this series! The first book is the weakest of the bunch, but sets the stage for the rest of the story.

2. “The Priory of the Orange Tree” by Samantha Shannon
Dragons, politics, war, and more dragons! It’s a TOME of a book, but worth the read.
(Btw: Chih is amazing)

#TheWriteWomen Monthly Challenge. A book I’ve read and enjoyed/learned something from written by a woman.
1. “Magica Riot” by Kara Buchanan @magicariot.com
Portland’s queer magical girl group powered by music need to save the world!
I started this earlier, but messed up my first post. So here we go, take two!
#TheWriteWomen: In March, post book by a female author every day
• It has to be a book you’ve read
• It has to be a book you enjoyed or learned something from

Yeah. I realized after I posted it that the author was non-binary. I was planning on restarting the thread, but got busy.
