This is a vertical photograph of red dogwood blossoms in one of our trees on the side of our house. The angle is upward so the field of view is dense with blossoms. The blossoms are a deeper pink at the edges/ends of the blossom with a blush toned ivory center near to the stem. The center of the blossom is an acid yellow/green. Branches are smooth grey brown.

Close up of Abelia with open white asterisk like flowers with five 'petals' as well as salmon color buds. It is not an especially pretty bush as a whole, but it can scent the neighborhood when it is in full bloom when it's not raining. The scent reminds me of lilac.

Forest Pansy Redbud in blossom. This is a very young tree - sparse. This young redbud is a couple of weeks behind our larger redbud (in a previous post). It is intermittently peppered with pinky purple flowers. The leaves start deep aubergine, turn emerald in the summer, and yellow in fall. I will continue to document this tree as I have wanted one for 20 years now.

Red Dogwoods, Abelia (smells a lot like lilac), and a Forest Pansy Redbud. Flowers were so beautiful this year. The pollen is *record breaking* since they've started recording it. A-phuqin-choo already. We've already had a high 80s day in April. Bracing for a brutal summer.

This is a close up of the frame from the previous picture as a 3/4 angel macro shot. You can see the texture of the fur on the portrait juxtaposed against the schoolbus yellow face/orange rabbet of the floater frame.

Finally framed a portrait of Freyja by local artist Dirk Hays. The frame is from The Chester Frame Company. I have had three other dogs painted by Dirk, but this is the first one framed in a color that does not match the dogs coat. He can paint your dog too .... just sayin' @dirkhays.bsky.social

This is just pencils .... I'm a picture framer (have been for 35 years) - we talk about this sort of thing all the time w/people. Materials touching your art matter too. UV glazing is important. At 99% people act like it's concrete and pop it in a sunny spot. Even 1% damaging light is bad.

I am so frustrated by this game. This was another restart of a new save that I am walking away from. I am hoping a new save with new edits will leave behind *whatever* was sticking to the sims. And I wonder why I walk away for long periods

Thought I found the culprit - somehow a bra is getting attached to my male sims. A default nude female top was showing as the problem. When I remove that top, the bra shows up. Test game that allowed me to find it isn't attaching it - how is it getting attached to male sims?

Testing further - I am absolutely confused - why would a bra be attached to make sims?

I’m getting a different problem now - removing that file my male sims are wearing a bra - now I need to find what’s causing that. Do you happen to have helaene’s CAS override?

I think I might have found the file: COUPURELECTRIUE_FemaleNudeTop.package
I tried to make a nude female default top - mine did it too. I have others that if I apply a top, then remove it - it is nude. I also have a nude top. I liked the default. If you don't have this one - try removing overrides.

sims 4 artwork. digital canvas in a floater frame. Both images inspired by art but pulled together using only shapes and textures in photoshop. Image shows a normal map which gives the canvas an 'raised' texture

New canvas - something new for me - I normally don't add texture to a canvas (the thought being that it would not match all the varied styles of the art) but this small set is going to do it's best to pull it off. Created using only shapes/brushes in photoshop - inspired by art saved in my archives.

My tired mind + math = bad math. It's actually 4x4 - it's just an EA texture.

Until recently I always used DDS for both. I embraced PNG when I realized without alpha it looked better. That said - I replaced my 50% grey fill normal dds with a 28x28 EA dds. No idea how it got artifacts with a 'paint bucket' but it's another thing to keep in mind (always remember: point 5137) 😐

So crazy - I exported an EA glass normal (28x28?) and applied it. I could see a shift in color when I replaced it in S4S. I'm not sure what happened - it was a fill 50% grey. I really appreciate you replying. I was prepared to just clone off my old table, but it is not a great base. THANK YOU

#thesims4 #help I'm attempting to remake this table with better textures and more variety. Two different bases - same exact problem. The glass looks specked. This would seem like a specular problem to me - but the glass specular is all white (same as EA). Any ideas? Only visible in raking light.

The legs are based off of a real leg I found back in the 2010s - it looks like a modified pipe wrench only boxy. Legs are designed to clamp onto any flat surface making for a unique table. Room design has an industrial window peaking into the shot right most, warehouse flooring, brick walls, an oriental rug in ivory and indigo, and two modern paintings on the wall just showing. Also there is the base of a tripod lamp which is another new mesh shown earlier in my feed.
