11.11.2025 16:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I support the two state solution and condemn Hamas, but I don't feel the need to parade around wearing the flag of a genocidal country.
And I'm sorry mate, if you put that flag in your bio then you are inviting that discussion wherever you go, because you're proud to be a genocide supporter.
The US is the only country where I've ever waited two hours for passport control!

11.11.2025 16:07 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0And I am talking about the fact you support a genocidal, apartheid state: Israel. Stop trying to skirt around that.
11.11.2025 16:06 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0For the record I agree with you about China and Taiwan!! But how dare you say that when you're actively supporting genocide elsewhere?
11.11.2025 16:04 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I'm not talking about Taiwan or Ukraine.
11.11.2025 16:02 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Bro you have the flag of not one but two war-criminal countries in your name, one of which operates an apartheid state and has been found to be committing genocide. At least be consistent.
11.11.2025 15:55 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0So what would you have done, in their position?
1) Force another election and get pummelled by the Tories, who were the only ones with any money left as voters rallied to the big 2 for stability
2) Not do electoral reform (?)
3) Magically convince the Tories to do full PR without a referendum
You do understand how coalitions work right? They wanted PR, the Tories wanted FPTP, AV was the compromise. How can you possibly be mad at an improvement to the current situation??

10.11.2025 16:03 — 👍 18 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Also sounds like incompetence: thinking that all you need for a political party is some policies and a charismatic figurehead or two, and not an entire logistical infrastructure
10.11.2025 15:57 — 👍 8 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.
10.11.2025 13:08 — 👍 1767 🔁 511 💬 47 📌 22A social media post by Karoline Leavitt (The White House Press Secretary) showing two news headlines side-by-side. The left headline, under a caption that reads "Shot" reads: "Trump goes to war with 'fake news' BBC," and the right headline under a caption that reads "Chaser" reads: "Tim Davie resigns as BBC director general over Trump documentary edit."
I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.
To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.
If there’s growth above CPI, then people have more money overall - that’s what CPI is designed to measure. It uses a “basket” of goods that the average person would buy in a year, including housing. A greater proportion of your income goes on housing but you can have more/nicer things overall!
